Who is eligible?

Residents of Pasco, Hernando and Citrus counties who are experiencing significant vision loss, demonstrate the need for vision rehabilitation training, and provide medical verification of vision impairment are eligible for services. Click here for an explanation of significant vision loss.

While some of our clients are completely blind, many of our clients some remaining vision, and include persons with Macular Degeneration, Diabetes (Diabetic Retinopathy), Glaucoma, Cataracts, and many other conditions.

Referral & Title VI

  • If you know someone in need of services, fill out and print this form and send it to the Lighthouse. You can also call us with a referral.
  • The Florida Division of Blind Services’ application for services is also available.
  • Florida Law and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 Prohibits Discrimination in Public accommodation on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, handicap, or of marital status. Persons believing they have been discriminated against on these conditions may file a complaint with the Florida Commission on Human Relations at 850-488-7082 or 800-342-8170 (voice messaging).
