Welcome to tHE Lighthouse

Serving Pasco, Hernando & Citrus

Our Mission

The mission of the Lighthouse is to educate, empower, and employ people who are visually impaired and blind. We offer independent living skills training, also known as vision rehabilitation—for babies, children, teens, adults, and seniors. The Lighthouse has changed tens of thousands of lives since 1983.

Leave a Legacy

Share our vision and leave a legacy by helping us pay off our mortgage or by making a lasting gift that ensures programs and services are always available to meet the demand.

You can also help us meet our mission by joining the team. We are currently looking for a Teen Program Instructor.

Contact Becky Bennett, Lighthouse’s CEO, at bbennett@lvib.org or (727) 815-0303 to discuss ways you can help.

WAYS TO GIVE

You can help us provide the services needed by people who are visually impaired and blind living in our community. There are many ways to help which include making monetary or gifts-in-kind donations. Visit our Wish List to see our current in‑kind gift needs.

VOLUNTEER

Lighthouse uses many volunteers to help us meet our mission. Volunteer opportunities include clerical tasks such as filing and stuffing newsletters, helping at events, gardening, and sitting on committees.
