2017 Summer Program Review / Appeal for Support

Lighthouse Kids & Teens Challenged to Greater Independence, Innovation & Involvement!

This past summer, the Lighthouse provided a 3-week “Children’s Program” and a 5-week “Pre-employment Teen Transition Program” for kids and teens who are visually impaired and blind living in Pasco, Hernando & Citrus. 9 children and 17 teens were pushed beyond their limits in order to develop much needed adaptive skills for use at home, in the classroom, and in the workplace.

It was amazing to see our youth growing as individuals and working together to problem-solve and accomplish great things. We hope you enjoy our photos from these summer programs—you can click on them to enlarge them on your MAC, PC, or tablet. More photos can be viewed on our Facebook or on Google Photos.

New Lighthouse Facility Donation Request

In 2018, we are relocating to a new Lighthouse facility in Pasco where we hope to support more kids and teens and provide them with space to do even more! We are challenging our donors, clients, and supporters to make a donation to help us achieve our dream— a larger, fully-equipped facility, designed so all our programs can operate simultaneously and inspire greater independence, innovation, and involvement in our community.

Thank you for your support of this request.
